“‘Don’t buy in Malaysia, especially Johor,’ they said. I did it anyway. Now I’m cashflow positive.”

I used to be scared of buying property in Malaysia.

Even though I’m Malaysian, working in Singapore gave me a different perspective. I had savings, a good job, and a stable income. But when it came to property, I was paralysed. The fear wasn’t just about money, it was about making the wrong move. I had heard too many horror stories. Projects that got delayed. Properties that lost value. Areas like Johor that people said were “overbuilt” or “risky.” Everyone warned me not to invest in Medini. They said the prices would never recover. That people had lost a lot of money there. And for a while, I believed them.

But I also knew one thing. If I kept listening to everyone else’s fear, I’d never move forward. I wanted to build my wealth while I was still young. I wanted to use my foreign income wisely. I wanted to retire in Malaysia with peace of mind. And that wouldn’t happen if I kept waiting.

In 2021, I joined a WDIB session with Faizul and that session shifted everything. He helped me understand how to read the market, how to assess the real risks, and how to see value where others didn’t. He showed me data, not hype. For the first time, I didn’t feel alone in the decision-making process.

I took the leap and bought my first unit in Medini. It wasn’t easy. I had to face the doubts in my own mind and the noise from others. But that first step gave me clarity. Not long after, I bought two more.

Today, I own three properties around Medini. Together, they generate at least RM1,500 in net positive cashflow every month. My overall cashflow has improved by RM5,000 a month since I started. What used to feel impossible now feels like momentum.

I used to think success in property was about luck or timing. Now I know it’s about strategy, mindset, and having the right people to guide you.

FAR Capital didn’t just help me find properties, they helped me think differently. I stopped relying on assumptions and started relying on real numbers. That confidence is something I carry with me every day now.

My goal is to build a RM5 million portfolio and retire in Malaysia. Not because I want to show off, but because I want freedom. I want the ability to live life on my own terms.

If you’ve been holding back out of fear of loan rejection, of bad choices, of what others might say, I want you to know I’ve been there.

But fear won’t move you forward.
Taking action will.
