Even if the value of your property declined by 50% over the next 25 years, you still would have doubled your $100,000 into $200,000.
If the property burns to the ground, the insurance company will build you a new one.
If your stocks go down in flames, too bad, you lose it all.

You can also control where you buy, how you buy and when to sell.
